Paris-Malaquais School of Architecture-PSL

Created in 2001, the Paris-Malaquais School of Architecture – PSL is a young institution rooted in a long tradition of architectural education on the historic site it shares with the Beaux-Arts de Paris, opposite the Louvre. Part of the Ministry of Culture’s network of 21 architectural schools, it prepares nearly a thousand students each year, at the bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral, and HMONP levels, to become community-engaged, intellectually active, and professionally independent architects.
With a strong research focus supported by three laboratories, the school promotes critical thinking and redefines architectural practice through an open, international approach. It has over 60 global academic partnerships and benefits from its central Paris location, enabling rich collaborations with major cultural institutions. Since 2020, it has been a partner of PSL University, enhancing its training, research, and outreach activities. As of 2025, the Paris-Malaquais School of Architecture – PSL is fully integrated component of the PSL-University.
